Lush base post

Where to start? The obvious yes I like lush? 

I actually started out loving bath and body works I really don't know what/where it changed per se just lost intrest (don't get me wrong I still have favourite scents there) but we got bombs at first which at 4-7 bucks may seem kinda expensive but OH! They're amazing! And as we can tend to get like 5 baths from each more if we're careful it works out from there I decided I wanted a sample of the trichomania (yea lol something the bulk white shampoo) and decided if that lasted a week Id get a bar well it lasted a week and a half I also got my mom fun last year for x-mas and that's been "fun" I at some point placed an order online and as the "retro" was going away I figured it would be a good time to get some stuff that's where a large chunk of my stuff has come from 

So should we start? 

That exact basket I actually made but I have this bad habit of trying to make pretty displays in there you can see MANY bath salts some from a place in lake geneva called balance (white tubs) there's also dollar store (back) bombs from balance (wrapped) one from last year at wallmart has soap on top (cupcake) some aveda stuff (another that I like) and my lush the angel is part bomb part bath melt should smell like sweet almond there's also butterbear and Father Christmas and I can't wait to try them! Lol 

So should we start with the rest of my stuff? I just noticed 2 things were missing added them in to go over but there not in main pics meh lol

Ok so where to start? I honestly don't know lol so let's go toothy cause we can 

I am one of those people that DOSENT like flouride we don't have anything to filter it out but I still attempted to avoid where possible 

Previously those were what I used years ago toms had ingredients and sourcing on packaging that won me over as a customer I love mint as some can tell (growing 10 varieties anyone?) the kids one was actually a sample I got at some point 

So looking lush had a version too but there's are solid small bits 

There packaged like that in boxes 

And they look like those things (there's sparkle and breath of God in there) there at first kinda odd to use back with the toms I had an oral b vibrating brush that I liked well oddly with these things I can't stand that anymore 

 

So now days I use something like those (got as 2 pack use purple have green) plain brushes but similar bristles to what I'm usted to with the oral b 

You can tell that's been thru a bit I keep it in my purse more minty lol but that's one of the things I forgot I actually love this stuff too cause to clean it off you lick it off and it buffs really well 

That's the outher thing I forgot its a chocolate orange balm I think it pairs really well with the mint juleps it too stays in my purse 

Next stop I think deordant 

This ones a bit too earthy for me I occasionally sprinkle it on my feet lol that one was made on my birthday lol 

And number 2 this ones called "teo" and I am HOOKED on it! Till I got it I didn't know deordant could smell this good! It's sweet and perfume and I love it lol it even works really well too (I used it while I was still working at the resturant) you may have noticed some brushes? I use a kabuki type brush to apply my first one fell on the floor and snapped in half after direct application after switching to the brush it lasts like forever there was 1.5 in there the most that tin could hold 

Then I think shampoos? 

Now if you're really observant you'll see there's 2 that look the same there's a reason first lets do the dry ok? 

I actually like this stuff it's a little tricky to get on but it smells good and works pretty well I think 

Bar time? The lighter green is a karma kombucha I actually haven't used it too much but it was suggested for camping never really got to try it tho lol I do think it's generally neat 

The red looking one is "new" soppoused replacer of my fave (said you may like it too) it's really cinnamony but with 2 cinnamon sticks in there meh lol I'll use it up don't know if I'll get again THO 

The darker green is "squeaky green" and for the name lol I have another that I think cleans better lol but I still kinda like it 

And the last one Dr peppermint it was part of the retro to go away which is why I have more of them because I absolutely love mint! 

Now if you're wondering about the tins I actually have found they degrade if you keep them in the bathroom too long so I rotate them in and out 

And the first one I got was called "Godiva" was a shampoo/conditioner thing and worked well enough I got the Dr. Mint online and fell in love with it! 

Let's do facial cleansers next? 

Yes I have worked to preserve the colours cause I think they look cool 

So I personally think this is a little rough for my face but I found a way to tone it down more on my creations later ok? 

That is the holiday version of my "angels on bare skin" that I like so much 

To Angels on bare skin it's a soft paste that's really thin but I still like it I have yet to test this one out THO 

I also have both toner tabs that I haven't tested yet the "t" is tea tree and the one with the flowers is the more expensive if I recall 

I'm gonna do shower wash type next I think 

One of the retro things I wanted to try different things and I even think this is great on my face! I love this THO it DOSENT sudz like most body wash 

Another different thing being me I think it should smell minty not floral but aside from that I am kinda afraid to try it cause I think it's so neat! I'll have to tomorrow tho so we will see what happens then lol 

Hmm massage bars next? 

I'll be honest I don't use these things too much I thought I would and I intend to get the dirty one (chocolate mint anyone?) this is a retro one the bananna something lol yup lol people at lush know which one im talking about lol overall I think it's a neat ideal this one THO just ain't my "thing" who knows? Also this one melted in the tin it was in which is also where it got the green from 

And the remains of my "each peach" one that came in melted this is more a brighter scent then the outher and same deal just not something I use atm 

Lotions?

Somehow I still haven't really tryied this one but I have gotten to try both old and new charity pots and the new is just too thick I personally prefer the old one in texture and that 

Looks like soaps next lol 

That's a bit too citrusy for me may do well with our kitchen THO cut a tad smaller 

Mudflats which I haven't had a chance to try was a retro THO 

Queen of hearts another retro said to be soft enough for you're face I think I tested once and didn't notice much compared to the gumback but less scrubby lol 

Waylander rhisoul another retro that I haven't had a chance to try 

Porridge and yup ive used it! ONCE! Lol it was a little too gritty at that large size for me 

Putty for you're hands I think mine may be a bit dry but I'm not certain that's a snack sized ziplock and that piece was 4 bucks to test! Personally only used it once and im not a fan but I'll defo try it again at another time 

Yog nog only tested once and didn't do a good job was trying not to ruin the pretty look lol but I love that it smells like egg nog! 

Remember shark week on discovery Chanel? Well that was about when I got these yup I got 2 of them lol used one a bit the paper fin ripped out after a bit but I really like these and have I think pur them on my face it's the basis for some stuff of mine again more later 

The Aqua mirabalis bar least I think that's it's name lol this is my 2nd my 1st was great for shaving I think thats how I used it ATLEAST lol again made a mix more later 

I have only tested this in store and like the shimmer it reminds me of elsa from frozen 

This prolly looks nasty but this is the remains of 2 different "fun" I love fun! The red I got my mom last year for x-mas partly to annoy her and the green one I got in like July before eaa fun is like playdough for the bath and it does great bubbles (run water over works better) it's also a shampoo and body wash and I love the stuff it's actually what we used for cleaning when we were camping not the soap and shampoo I braught with but the fun that I thought would be smart to have too lol 

Another thing I love about lush is there are a few things "can I try that?" They get you a sample some of these were also random suprise samples from an online order 

The far left unlabelled had Angels on bare skin that lasted over a week and I loved it too 

There's also fresh farmacy face bar Aramaco (the deordant for those usted to reg I just took the jump and love teo) Aqua marina another face wash it's too smooth for my preferences THO 

Karma kream was one from before camping for it big solid conditioner rockstar a citrusy one and Paisley porridge as well so I think a decent selection 

That's the knot wrap from my "greenbag" this is like a hard cotton and I barely use them to be honest it says pure cotton so meh I like the ideal of them THO 

I also have a much larger one that's much softer this one says it's made from 2 plastic bottles even where I worked people thought it felt like silk and were suprised to hear that 

Ok on to my creations! 

As I said my outher Aqua mirabalis was running low so I mixed about even with fun it actually works really well I think 

At some point I decided to mix sharkie soap with water this was the end result the tube before that had Angels on bare skin has this in it now 

Remember me saying the ocean salt was a little rough? This is about half sharkie goop and half ocean salt mixed up and that seems to do really well 

I have used my dr mint soap on carson (look closely you'll see his black fur) ive also used fun on carson and both appear to work about as well as the Isle of dog shampoo I got a sample of the shampoo bar was on to sudz but everything took FOREVER to wash out of his fur like the dog shampoo did 

I think that says a bit that I trust my non-animal tested (actually human tested) products on the puppy and there have been times the soaps gotten in my eye don't hurt much or mouth and DOSENT taste that bad lol 

So am I obcessed? Is it "worth" it? There's a few things on my "try to make" list allready first the bombs THO because in ratio to uses I honestly think those are the lowest value my toothy tabs are 5 bucks I think they have 45 in there that's pretty lost cost per the 10 buck shampoo bar lasts over 3 months that's really low the fun is 7 that could last forever too depending on usage then 4-7 for a bomb that maby 4 uses if careful but most will prolly chuck it in and that's it lol if not trying to save I would lol 

Any questions? Suggestions to get/try? Once I can figure making I wanna use stuff from my garden in what I make 

That time of year again

So x-mas is tomorrow Yule was yesterday and it seemed for me everything that could go wrong did lost a drink that I didn't get to taste because I had to carry too much in she looked at the pizza but with her whole brain cell didn't register her sausage and my ham were switched around and on and on it seemed so hopefully things only get better! 

I do have some stuff going inside but I think I'll hold off on pics least for now till I start my seeds the stuff inside is kinda ish the jasmine and Barbados cherries look dead im hoping spring will perk them up my goji looks like it's limping along which is what I expected as its inside and last time I looked I didn't see aphids on it! I have a couple seed things going mostly expected failures from DUNECRAFT cause that's what there stuff does isn't it? 

I haven't really started doing too much planning for next year or the garden yet but I did find for like 11-12 bucks at WALLMART what to me looks like a starter worm kit and Id love to try it we use enough stuff around here I think some worms would like and I love there poop so I'm thinking of getting one next time I have money and testing it out cause let's face it ive wanted one like forever lol 

Another thing is my love of lush is getting too expensive for my mom because I just dropped 75 on (let me see if I can remember all) bombs: butterbear Father Christmas I think another but atm not sure the x-mas version of my face wash a shower jelly a dusting powder "putty fit you're hands" yog nog soap 2 toner tabs and maby something or another im not remembering and atm im not a fan of the puddy only used once got only a little bit still cost 4 bucks I got like 9-10 things so I fully expected a hundred bucks (then realised I'd forgotten the toner tabs) 

So my first project will be getting and making my own bath bombs as I think there the simplest OH! An aqua mirabalis I think lol shower scrub I have one atm I mixed with fun cause it was nearly gone anyway and wanted a little more use from it 

Then after the bombs I think I'll play with the shampoos and OUTHER stuff I love if anyone has stuff for me to try at any point suggest and I may (no promises atm) I have quite a few things I need to get first 

So lol one can only hope huh? Hope everyone's season goes great! Atm im thinking I'll enjoy mine a little more (we got some stuff I'll comment later after testing) 

Another achient?

So it's officially winter here we had our first serious snow a few days ago and there's still some on the ground 

Just after the snow my mint looked well enough theres a reason it's best in containers 

My old employer has decided to fight my unemployment that combined with let's face it not getting shit for another job it has me somewhat depressed 

I did manage in the Office Depot/max closing to get a new colour lazer printer a brother of some sort I also managed to get cs5 installed as well and Adobe has it online save that and put my code into it lol worked 

Ive also dug out my old 3rd gen nano and it has a ton of great music on it but lol it seems the car is more in control when it's plugged in and some of my stuff DOSENT have tags like if it were all from disks so I'm hoping I can get a 5th gen nano and it will work well with what I intend 

So I should have more custom designed seed packs soon enough im working on getting some paper styles and such so we will see what happens 

I also have been caring for some of the stuff I have growing inside somes doing better then outhers I got a few new things started as well so we will see if they go anywhere as there DUNECRAFT seeds im really not expecting too much tho 

Long overdue update

Some may know I lost my job and while I was looking for another job I thought I'd have it before going from my first one im not as well as I could be 

So lol pro tip threaten bbb if a company is being a pain that seems to help with dunecraft but they forgot for a 5th time a stupid sticker that should have been in the kit! 

Back in July/August I got 2 Barbados cherry a goji and a star jasmine during the clearance sales at millaegers and the cherries and jasmine I'm unsure about goji looks to be bouncing back and doing great so I'm not too worried about it but the cherries seem semi gone think I should trim them tho I don't know "how far" per se so I'm gonna try waiting for signs of new growth signs that I allready have on the jasmine 

Wah I lost some pics 

Sadly my recession gold tomato died before I could get a single fruit from it 

Look back and you can see something very green that's the goji 

That (clovers and green on the trunk) makes me think that it's actually still alive but it's just hard to tell at times 

To outside stuff it's pretty much all done for the year I pulled most of my herbs the Rosemary I have skewers in the fridge the rest processed and frozen as able most were chopped with a little water in the ninja some got oil instead just enough to chop and move the stuff 

As for the rest of inside 

The pineapple looks ok but the wonderberry really DOSENT look so good think next time I start I should just leave it inside 

Aloes dragon coleus and a baby's fly trap about all there of note (fly trap has cuts in the lid) 

Back there Apple/fruit and passion fruit are all that live

Cactus but not succulents hmm wonder why?! Got and added more seeds to it 

We'll have fun guys and let's hope I can get another job semi or sooner and it works fine
