Some more fun in the kitchen

So I decided to make some fun bombs and try round 1 for the bubble bar thing im doing and early stages it looks great! I also made some more oatfix no recepie as my outher one didn't seem 100% i mixed it in not to waste it and added lemon juice too so hopefully it'd last a little longer

So start with fun? This is how I make it mind you

1 clean bowl

2 add a bunch of baby powder

Add Dr bronners (that's where I get smell and soapy from)

Mix it's too dry more of the soap or a little glycerin

Mix still a little dry

Starting to get there

Allmost there!

About but was a little too wet

So I added some more baby powder

Went kinda nuts

Got about right THO and im suprised I didn't get a finished pic once it's pretty close I pick it up and start mixing it till its where I want it adjusting as needed I just haven't gotten in the habit of measuring too much once I have a feel for it

Here's a pic of some bombs with the recepie I used well kinda I go 2:1 baking soda to Citric acid then I also add in whatever else but if exact that could be a great recepie from there dry and wet seperate then mix together being careful not to start the reaction

That's my old oatfix after mixing it up so I made a new batch to mix in

That was 2 cups oatmeal a bunch of almonds (I about filled that personal cup between both) pulsed then poured in a big bowl mixed with 2 banannas a bunch of honey some lemon juice a splash of vanilla and a splash of almond extract too fully food so I tasted it mixed the rest in this DOSENT taste as much like cookies as the outher batch did but it's still good

There's the final product in a ziplock to wait till I get to using it

We'll have fun with the experiments guys! I know I'm having a blast!

Some fun updates

I know I'm behind and atm im not feeling 100% ( think I had too much milk but that's not in question atm)

I got a few more things for making stuff

Let's start with some of the molds (yup I have more)

Intended for chocolate covered Oreos

Makes really nice little bombs

Mini hearts

Votive type to me there from bed bath and beyond

Votives with some silicone puppy treat molds we have

Odd thought I'd allready posted on these but don't see anyway all 4 were .88 at wallmart ive also put green food colouring in the handle to identify as "not cooking" even tho we have plenty we do have some like these

Whisk was same price and ive used pretty throughly allready

Like a buck have sence found DOSENT go as well atm but I'll go on that later

Have also gotten some at the dollar store too as well as paints to experiment with too

BIG bowl! Also have a blue and purple I believe those like just came out at my dollar store! Ive only been doing partial batches lately and it's way more then sufficient for them! So when I do larger batches im confident it will be just fine and it was literally the biggest size they had!

That little thing was reg like 5 bucks at joanns!  (Well I had a coupon they take compeditiors) and so far haven't seen much sparkle from it yet

Those were the special but it looked at the dollar store i initally got them for an oatfix that I was gonna make have some in one (I plan on making more later on when I'm feeling better) it's got pure food in it so I intend to next time I'm at lush to buy there's then use and replace with mine so I have a correct tub to keep it in then all of them can go to food on the condition of I need I get (that's the condition to her having 2 atm)

Some sample of what I had at that time (gotta get a new one as ive a bunch more now including a ton of molds! And more baby powder lol)

Ok on to the mix? Kinda

My first attempt was lavender bombs if you look closely they are expanding they had too much water and that ruined them they also don't have much colour eighter till I understand dry/liquid ratio prolly won't be much colour in them

That batch ended up down the sink if that shows? So I don't have its recepie atm and as normal I play as I go anyway

Yup you allready saw the pic these were my 2nd attempt and they came out really nice I actually compared to my butter bomb from lush this is a really strong fizz but because of how small they are they don't last long at all!  Still a fun bomb to make!

I also attempted some fun this was the first batch it said cornstarch baby wash and colour/smell it was neat but you know that goop that's hard till you stop playing then it melts?  That's what this "was" turns out for what im doing perfect fun is a TON of baby powder some of the soap/smell im using some colour and possibly some glycerin but it does need the talc if you wanted to cut you could use some corn starch in with but many a third of the baby powder (I'll get pics up later on when I'm better showing what I'm doing as I intend to do a mint/citrus one)

Another batch and it only made 2 bombs these I put some fun in the middle (the pink) and while I haven't used yet report is these don't fizz so well and they sink this was doing half citric acid half tartaric acid I'll try a small batch just tartaric acid see how those fizz if they do but I think atm mostly a waste of 15 bucks but that's gfs lol least I had a lot if it did work

There's one of my outher little molds

If there's anything you wanna see let me know! I intend:

Fun and maby bombs based from that bomb (3 bowls means 3 colours at once) then later on I intend on making a sls free bubble bar and I think a base of my fun will work well maby even trying a couple shower jellies with my molds (as some are jello molds)

I'm eager to hear what everyone thinks of these and I do intend to get the recepies up in time

An ingredient post

So I think it only fair I try to get covered what I can while I can if I intend to make things I should have a feel for the recepies early on not late so I know how/what and that later

So with that being said here's a large chunk of what ive gotten

GONNA try making oatfix having never used it

Dedicated measuring spoons so I don't contaminate the kitchen stuff these were 2 bucks at wallmart

Less then 50 cents at aldis

About 3 bucks at wallmart

1.50 ea at target

2.50 at oversized grocer

About 2 bucks at target

Like 1.50 or so at target

Like 2 bucks at target

Like 2.50 at aldis

Rose

Almond

Citrus orange

Lavender

Tea tree

Peppermint --ive ALLREADY tested this one only a few drops lathers up really water with a ton of water and it smells so similar to my dr mint shampoo bar!

So I intend for the moment to use those as sls and essiental oils with how strongly they smell I think atleast in testing they will serve the job just means I have to play a bit more

So atm I think I have the basics for:
Shower jellies
Bath bombs
Bubble bars
Fun

I also need to get mixing and small storage containers atleast which I think I can pull off from the dollar store luckily then maby some food colouring too so I can see what's what

I do intend to use the tea tree to try to work out something that's somewhat like a hand sani now I have no way to actually try it but if I could make it part lotion or something that didn't dry out hands Id be thrilled! And heads up the mint was a buck something at target when they had it the little was 3-something big 5-something and that was at the oversized grocer I know I saw at 10 and 18 at target don't recall if it's the same size THO so in total maby 50+?to make these and that's not making anything yet! So it's a "not cheap to start" but nothing worth it ever is look at my garden had to buy the containers then dirt and plants then seeds and seed starter stuff then greenhouses and daylight bulb so compare to what comes out as well as what goes in and I'll be keeping some kinda track of both which is part of my listing sources and prices (the grocer isn't really worth as there extremely local only)
