New method to root cuttings?

Sence most/all of my cuttings even with a tray that claims to get the perfect balance of water and dirt (seedling tray with seedling dirt) they tend to wither and die except for the mint that's gotten leggy I'm trying a new method to get cuttings rooted we will see how it goes soon lol

It's just the cutting in an inflated ziploc with a bit of water one bag is stuffed full of mint another is partly full (1/3 or 1/2) with lemon verabena there needs to be room for the air tho about an ounce of water leave a little but not a lot standing

The whole ideal came from some lemon verabena cuttings that I tool that I needed to get the water back in they perked up right away after this treatment and they still look happy like everyone else does so we shall see how this goes and in turn how the cuttings in my cauldron and seed planter work
