So my favourite garden store had a "tent sale" I was out of state when it started but when I got there there was still plenty and some new things each day as well which makes it more fun while there I got in total 4 walking onion plants 4 everbearing strawberries (that some want to produce fruit yet) 2 junebearing strawberries and a bunch of seeds an some more chemicals I don't think I even spent 20 there! Ill get the strawberry names later def
Also I have suffered some losses both from the greenhouses and from outside but ill get onto them in time first lets start with some garden pics (its now the next morning after a nap and needing to work tonight oh joy! Lol)
You can tell later in the night with the sun in the west --that's the salsa garden windowbox and my first goji that I got to try its fruit and they taste I think better sweeter then the outher plant which is like a pepper in a way
Mints and outher herb which is where some losses were running theory is root rot from lack of drainage but it didnt get many of the plants which is the corious part to me
The raspberry (and yes that little raspberry thing by the fence is still there)
Mostly tomatoes and peppers and you can better see the losses with the herb planter (needs the holes)
I think after the goji fruits it goes dormant till spring/better temps its still flexible which is only telling me its still alive
Can see the sun in the garden mostly here but there's some of a few pots
Another shot of the salsa garden my windowbox and the goji --those tomatillos are going *insane*! I'm eager to grow them again even if I somehow don't like them!
And here's a better shot of the herb container where you can clearly see some of my losses
Here's one pic of the tent sale onions and I think allstar? The ever bearing tomatoes as you can see they still want to produce! Which is perfectly fine by me as that means ill have that many more if I remember them lol those I got on one day with some myke brand rooting stuff (all for like 6? Bucks!) another day I got a whole *ton* of onion sets seed packets (quarter EACH!) and some dr good earths which was plenty enough to try if I liked it as a bug spray that day was a few bucks too and went to the outher location got some little flowering thing that I thought was cool 50 cents! And another time 2 junebearing strawberries and a few containers only another few bucks! This is why I love the tent sale so much because of all the cheap stuff that's still good and is very cool! It's well worth it to go really every day that its running just cause they do put "new" stuff out daily and you get great deals as well .50 cents per plant you see there a STEAL as normally 2-4 EACH
Ok on to the greenhouses?
Let's start with the old pics first shall we?
Again I have suffered a few losses in the greenhouses had a cottony white looking like mold on a couple plants the 100% dead were tossed (there in my sand bucket ATM so they may end up as starting fert will have to see)
The big stevia and rosemary are both gone by now (died)
And that shelf has been re-arranged some as well my moms cat knocked over the nip seeds I was trying to save!
And the bigger one it too has been re-arranged but really what I think I need to do is move it so everyone gets more light
There's the bottom shelf
And the last of the old pics for the greenhouses on to the new ones?!
The last 2 walking onions that I have to figure what to do with (may or may not be frost hardy in my containers don't wanna chance if not)
There's the greenhouses themselves the black bucket is still mostly sand the blue spraybottle has some mouthwash-water the pink topped is sevin the blue topped is peper/soap water and the rest is marked lol (I have those memorised so less fuss)
Just the one a friend got me for my birthday (talk about putting it to use huh? Lol)
And my moms
That front pot is the mint I started via winter sewing I had to move it and I don't think it's doing that well even now hopefully it improves soon!
Roses and I was wrong the junebearing are the all stars --it's said larger crop is junebearing longer crop is ever bearing so I want to get a good mix so I get both lol-- also the rose isn't looking so good eighter leaves are falling off and such which isn't good at all! I just don't want it to go outside its first year but I may be forced to and hope it can withstand our winter
The Basil's they too are dropping leaves so I hope they will come out fine if not maby re-potting them or just starting new plants would be better?
The tiny Tom tomato --I was told it wouldn't get taller but it is! So I'm not certain what to make of it but I'm certain it could stand to be replanted and even a bit deeper too (those white things are roots likely to get water from the humidity in the air!)
The fruit and one rooting planter again getting somewhat unwell but enough is staying alive for now I'm not too super worried ill see in time if I need to worry more or not and when I pull them to seperate that will be the real test of how they are (applies to the next pic too)
And there's both of them and you can even see an onion in the back!
Here's the strawberry after pulling it apart and replanting all the pups with momma but nolonger connected to her
If you look on that brown leaf you can see one example of the mold or whatever it is that I'm talking about
And there's another example on with these tomato seedlings (you can also see most of them have died on me)
Ok so here is what can fairly easily be seen of the top row that huge thing is patchouli a smell my uncle just loves and I'm glad to see it doing so well in this method!
2nd row as you can see failing stevia and rosemary that should be tossed apart from that everyone looks pretty good and the bay are even surprising me!
The everbearing strawberries as you can now clearly see I've moved nobody from there origonal pots only because I don't know where I'd move them to or how well they would do between shock from coming inside and shock from being moved
Some "water beads" that I expanded along with some seeds and similar such stuff lol
There's that perennial it's well past too late this year to plant but just look!
Here's the tag from the everbearing only proving the allstars are junebearing
By the way those pots say "it's from millaegers expect the best" great promotion for them especially when it's still true even at the end of the season for the prices these are still as good as what I'd buy at the beginning of the summer!
Now if nobody noticed I have in fact lost all 3 of my orchids I replanted my last one terribly and caused it to die from the root
Here is that myke stuff I mentioned I got 2 of them not knowing the reg price and figuring had to be atleast 3-4 reg
And here are the onion sets and seeds ATM I'm finding it funny I only have one pack of white onions but likely all the rest I looked at I didnt like much these all looked really good aka not many dead or that and some seed packs for stuff to try to grow as well (or split apart and trade or whatever)
And here's the pots the 2 wooden looking and ball like are from the tent sale the square were candles but didnt have the candle part so I got them a tad cheaper and thought they too would be great planters
So I'm happy/excited over my garden even with the losses as you learn new stuff every year like this year with working more fert with more plants and plant a TON sooner if starting with seedlings like we did also cage them and still not so many if you want a really good harvest! This is my first year with a job outside the garden
As a side thing the next thing I'm waiting for is the tropical sale where there 70% off I think ill take 20-30 bucks and see what I can get with it if I miss it then I miss it but I don't think I did yet pick up whatever even remotely sounds good to me from the selection that I can afford lol
